Profile

Journey began dancing at age three and instantly fell in love. Although she has been exposed to all styles, Journey has had training in ballet performance and technique for nine years, as well as six years in tap and jazz, five on junior and senior level performance teams, three in musical theater, and two years of pre-pointe strengthening. Her favorite styles are ballet and tap, and she has had the opportunity to train with professional dancers through week long dance intensives. She believes dancing is very beneficial for everyone, but especially younger children, as it encourages creativity, and provides a fun and encouraging environment to build strength. During her dance training Journey has not only made life-long friends, but gained skills such as leadership, persistence, and teamwork. Journey is very grateful for the opportunity to share what she loves with young children, and is excited to see where teaching takes her.
