Sara Lavalley

Sara Lavalley is a recent graduate from San Jose State University with a BFA in Dance. Ms. Lavalley taught at two dance studios in Simi Valley, where she taught ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical to all ages. At Moorpark, she choreographed for three Modern dance shows and was a member of their performing dance ensemble for two years. Ms. Lavalley also received the Ronald E. Jr. Scholarship for excellence in dance and was a member of the professional company, Megill and Company. She was a member of University Dance Theater at SJSU for two years under the guidance of Raphael Boumaila.

Ms. Lavalley has trained with various renowned dancers/choreographers, such as Mark Foehringer, Fred Matthews, Raphael Boumaila, Heather Cooper, Jill Yager, Dominique Lomuljo, and Jeanneen Winston.

Upon graduation at San Jose State University, Ms. Lavalley was the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Award in performance. She is currently a dance coach for the Cupertino and Prospect High School Color Guard. Future goals include: performing in professional dance companies and becoming a dance professor at a university.
