tricia gordon
Tricia has been dancing since the age of six. Growing up in the Chicago-land area, she trained at Jo’s Footwork Studio in ballet (13yrs) and modern (4yrs). During this time, she performed as a member of Matrix Dance Improv Company (2006-2008), the Eurythmic Dance Company (2006-2008), and was a member of the dance team at Lyons Township High School (2004-2008).

Continuing her love of movement, Tricia attended Michigan State University where she graduated with a minor in dance. She performed with the MSU Orchesis Dance Company for four years and held positions on the executive board including webmaster, vice-president, and President. While at MSU, Tricia taught jazz and modern dance classes and was involved in various research and outreach projects focused on connections between movement and learning. She has presented collaborative research at the National Dance Association Pedagogy Conference (Spring 2010) and two Humanities and Education Research Association (HERA) Conferences (Spring 2011 and Spring 2012). An article she wrote, “Connected Knowing-Connected Dancing”, was recently published in the Spring 2013 edition of HERA’s scholarly journal.

Tricia recently moved to San Jose to begin her career in Operations & Engineering Management. She is thrilled to have found Ariel Dance Productions and have the opportunity to continue moving and dancing with such a great group of people!
