Profile

Kira Caldwell is an instructor who brings energy, creativity, and spunk to every class, creating a fun and supportive environment where students can grow as both dancers and performers. She strives to give each student a full experience that blends technique, confidence, and self-expression.

Kira is originally from Portland, Oregon, and is currently attending Santa Clara University, where she dances and performs with the Santa Clara Dance Team at games and events.

Growing up in her hometown, Kira trained as a competitive dancer for twelve years, attending numerous competitions, nationals, and performances. She began choreographing her own pieces at a young age and completed her first self-choreographed solo at just twelve years old. At fifteen, she began teaching Hip Hop at her home studio, Studio One Dance Academy, and continued teaching throughout high school. She has taught Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, and Ballet in both classroom settings and one-on-one lessons. 

Through her coaching and choreography, Kira provides students with a wide variety of training within the Hip Hop style, covering elements such as waves, popping, tutting, whacking, breaking, and more. Her goals as an instructor are not only to introduce aspiring dancers to new material but also to cultivate a welcoming, passionate, and fun learning environment throughout the process.

She loves to dance, and it shows.
