Profile

Megan Lin began her ballet training at age 3 in San Jose, then moved to Half Moon Bay where she studied the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum and took examinations for grades 1, 2 and 3. She also studied at Peninsula Ballet Theater where she danced 6 days a week and took technique, character, and pointe classes.

For high school Megan made the difficult decision to quit ballet and focus solely on music; she attended SF’s School of the Arts with emphasis on flute. Megan returned to dancing as a young adult and continues to enjoy multiple classes a week. Performing and dancing are her joy and she looks forward to combining her love for teaching with her passion for classical ballet.

Megan has been teaching in both traditional and Waldorf Schools for 20 years, and has experience with a wide range of ages from toddlers to high school. She currently teaches preschool at the Waldorf School of the Peninsula and is taking a certification course in curriculum for preschool and elementary ballet through OUP. Megan is CPR and first aid certified.
